Question 1

What can I try without an account?

Accepted Answer

You can browse five starter clips in the library anonymously and complete one listen from start to finish for free. The five clips are options to browse; the free allowance is one complete listen rather than one listen per clip.

Question 2

What happens after my free listen?

Accepted Answer

After the one complete free listen, continued playback requires an active Nightly or Deep Rest subscription. A free account can save your progress, but it does not unlock unlimited playback.

Question 3

What do the Nightly and Deep Rest subscriptions unlock?

Accepted Answer

Nightly unlocks continued access to the full listening library for $5/month. Deep Rest unlocks the same paid library access for $39/year. Both plans require an active subscription for playback after the free listen.

Question 4

How does checkout work?

Accepted Answer

Create an account or sign in, then choose a plan on the pricing page. Anonymous plan buttons take you to /signup first. After you are signed in, the plan action sends the product id to /api/stripe-billing/checkout; the server prices the product and returns a hosted checkout URL. The subscription is not active until the success page verifies the payment.

Question 5

What if checkout is cancelled, pending, failed, or unconfirmed?

Accepted Answer

Those states do not confirm a payment or subscription, so they do not unlock paid listening. Use the retry option to try checkout again, or return to /library while you decide what to do next.

Question 6

How do I return to the library after subscribing?

Accepted Answer

After payment is verified, the success page shows the /library destination. Open it while signed in to the account used for checkout. NightlySlumber resolves an active subscription from that account email and lets verified subscribers continue listening.

Question 7

What if I cannot access my account?

Accepted Answer

Use the sign-in page, or request a password reset from the forgot-password page. Once you sign back into the same account, your saved progress and any verified subscription access remain tied to that account.
